Black Rhino Game Reserve is located 33 kilometers north of Sun City in a Malaria-free area adjacent to the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve. Less than 2 hours drive from Johannesburg this Big 5, eco-tourism area offers nature lovers an alluring combination of rolling hills and tumbled mountains, graceful valleys, deep dark ravines, grassland plains covered with pristine bushveld and tamboti forests.
The reserve is 1800 hectares in size with only 25 secluded 1 hectare stands. A 54 room hotel is being developed and the reserve has been incorporated into the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve which consists of approximately 58,000 hectares. A fence-drop initiative with the North West Parks & Tourism Board allows traversing rights throughout the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve.

The Reserve is situated just 20 minutes away from Sun City Resort home to the world famous golf courses; the Gary Player Country Club and the Lost City. Sun City also offers many other activities for the whole family such as The Valley of the Waves, gambling and live entertainment.
